I'm thinking that the vaccuum petcock is the most likely culprit. But I'll surely try cleaning out the old one before I spring for a new one. I seem to remember somewhat down this list that a new one was around $70US. Do you think that the lower back-pressure of the Supertrapp muffler would cause a decrease in the vaccuum to keep it open?
For that matter, does anyone know of a standard (non-vaccuum-operated) (on, off, reserve) petcock that will fit the savage tank? I've dealt with those for years with no problems. Wouldn't mind doing it again.
